PROCEDURE TO OBTAIN IMPORT PERMIT

1. Item controlled from import:

  • All species of plants or parts thereof for propagation, decoration, manufacturing or consumption.
  • Soil
  • Planting media and rooting compost
  • Beneficial organism for agriculture
  • Agricultural pests

2. How to apply Import Permit:

Applicant to complete relevant applicataion forms PQS Form 1A (plant) or PQS Form 1B (soil/ compost/rooting media) which can be obtain from:

or
ii.

The application forms to be submitted to:

Plant Protection & Quarantine Branch,
Jalan Kumpang,
Off Jalan Ong Tiang Swee,
93200 Kuching,
Sarawak

Each application must accompanied with:

  1. Fee RM15.00 for each permit issued
  2. Report of nursery to be examined

Each Import Permit can be used once within the validity period of 3 months.
