Client's Charter CLIENT'S CHARTER Revised March 2007 We are committed to provide the best service and product to our clients through our areas of core business as follows: As manager of  Development Projects, we will make sure that the followings are practised:   Applications for Development Projects can be submitted to any of our office at any time of the year. Applicants shall be notified of the outcome of their applications within ninety (90) days from date of application Farm inputs will be supplied to project participants within two (2) months upon approval. Appropriate Advisory and Extension Services are provided at all times. Quality planting materials, fish fry and livestock breeds shall be provided to recipients of Agriculture Department Projects.     As a Regulatory and Enforcement agency, we are committed to enforce the relevant laws and regulations relating to plants, animals/livestock and fish through the following instruments within our jurisdiction:-    To issue Import Permit, Export Permit, Sanitary and Phytosanitary Certificates within two (2) working days upon receipt of application. To issue approval for licenses for livestock farms, abattoir and feedmill within ninety (90) days or earlier upon receipt of application provided that all requirements are fulfilled. Permit for establishment of pond or lake for aquaculture will be issued within ninety (90) days upon receipt of application provided requirements are fulfilled. Certificate for Pond or lake to be used for aquaculture will be issued within thirty (30) days provided conditions stated in the permit are adhered to. License to carry out any activities or business relating to aquaculture in riverine or inland waters will be issued within thirty (30) days upon receipt of application.     Farmers' Organisation   Ensure that the Management of Farmers' Organisation is in accordance with the statutory requirement . Farmers' Organisations shall hold the Annual General Meeting before 31st July for Area Farmers' Organisation (AFO) and before 30th September for SFO each year.     Human Resource Development   A two (2) year Agriculture Certificate Course with a biannual intake of one hundred (100) students shall be conducted. Conducts forty (40) farmers short courses at the Agriculture Training Centres and twenty (20) In-situ training for farmers and entrepreneurs annually.     Information and Technology   Appropriate and relevant technology shall be transferred to our clients through the various channels. Agricultural Information shall be dessiminated through the various communication media.     Laboratory and Analytical Works   The results of Analytical service on soil, plant, fertilizer, pesticide residue, food product and veterinary diagnostic will be ready within sixty (60) days upon receipt of sample.     Soils Information   Request for existing soils information shall be entertained within two (2) days upon receipt of application.
