Bintulu Division covers an area of 12,130 km sq with population of 161,134 (2000 Census) with various ethnic groups such as Iban, Chinese, Malay, Melanau, Kayan, Penan, Kedayan and Bekatan. There are two district named Bintulu (7,204 km sq with population of 138,269) and Tatau districts (4,926 km sq with population of 22,865).

There are stations under the division, Bintulu and Tatau Agriculture District Offices. Bintulu District consists of small station Sebauh, while Tatau District consists of four small stations; Sangan, Muput, Kuala Tatau and Nanga Tau.
