Permit For Hatchery (Section 32, State Fisheries Ordinance 2003)

No person shall construct or set up or use any hatchery for aquaculture witout a permit from the State Fishries Officer.

Application forms can be obtained from Enforcement and Licensing Unit or any Divisional Agriculture Offices throughtout the State. Completed forms can be submitted direct to this office together with the certified supporting documents in 7 sets.

Procedure for Application

Completed application forms can be submitted to Enforcement and Licensing Unit, Inland Fisheries, or through any Divisional Agriculture Offices together with the following certified true copies of supporting documents in 7 sets.

Permit will be issued if the application is approved by the Licensing Panel.

Any permit issued under this section shall be subject to such terms and conditions as the State Fisheries Officer may deem fit and necessary.

Permit fees is RM100.00 per annum and is subject to renewal before the expiry date.

Failure to comply will result in being compounded or fined and the permit revolked.

Please be reminded that it is an offence to establish and operate Hatchery for Aquaculture witout a valid Permit.

Penalty

A fine not exceeding RM20,000 or imprisonment not exceeding 5 years or both.
